The Account Executive is responsible for the management of sales and relationships with Longford & Company’s existing clients and generating business with new prospects, whilst providing a quality tailored service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop new business with new clients
  • Connect with key business executives and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Generate meetings with new and existing clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact to manage and triage client inquiries and issues.
  • Track all activity/notes in company’s Applicant Tracking System
  • Any other duties as required

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
  • Proven work experience as an Business Development Manager, Sales Account Manager or similar
  • Background in professional services, technology, or staffing services is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Longford & Co is hiring an Executive Search Consultant who will support the firm’s core business by developing new clients, selling IT executive search services, and managing those client relationships to ensure the effective execution of search work. The search consultant will run a full desk and also be responsible for identifying and recruiting qualified IT executives and leaders for active searches. This is an opportunity for a motivated search professional to build a practice within a high‐performing company with a deep culture of caring for its clients and a goal of developing long term relationships. Longford is a dynamic company with ambitious plans for growth. The IT Executive Search Consultant will have the chance to help direct and shape that growth, in a position which can grow into a true leadership role for the firm with success.

Key Responsibilities

  • The IT Executive Search Consultant will be responsible for:
  • Business Development:
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Strategizing with prospective and existing clients on their executive needs
  • Successfully managing client relationships to ensure repeat business
  • Aggressively pursuing personal and companywide revenue and activity targets
  • Actively sharing responsibility for the long-term growth and development of Longford & Co

Project Management:

  • Effectively leading, strategizing and closing each search project
  • Communicating progress with the client thoroughly and promptly, and directing the search in response to client feedback
  • Appropriately positioning and preparing each candidate for interview with the client
  • Managing each candidate’s participation in the process through to placement or release
  • Driving search projects to successful conclusions and exceeding client expectations

Candidate Recruitment:

  • Identifying target candidate profiles for active searches
  • Engaging, selling and recruiting target candidates for a specific leadership position
  • Conducting candidate interviews (phone /video / in‐person) and thoroughly evaluating each against the requirements for the position and the culture and values of the client

The Profile:

  • The required skills and experience for the IT Executive Search Consultant have been identified as:
  • 5+ years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in direct sales, business development, recruiting, or executive search
  • Industry‐specific recruiting experience in technology or financial services
  • Experience interacting at the leadership/executive level to develop business and manage clients
  • Experience identifying, recruiting and qualifying candidates for specific searches or open positions
  • Demonstrated ability to identify strategic and profitable business opportunities
  • Skilled at delivering professional and persuasive business presentations
  • Engaging personal style and ability to connect with a candidate to assess capabilities and motivation
  • Broad business and financial acumen
  • Personal characteristics: Entrepreneurial, collaborative, humble, quality‐oriented, genuine and highly motivated

  • Screen candidates to gain insight into their technical skill set and career goals
  • Work closely with candidates to provide career guidance & match with appropriate job opportunities.
  • Utilize online social and professional networking sites to connect and develop relationships with potential candidates
  • When necessary, provide interview feedback
  • Tracking all activity and notes in Longford’s ATS
  • Respond to applicant inquiries
  • Keep in regular contact with placed candidates to review progress and performance
  • Reference checking
  • Any other duties as required

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Proven work experience as an Internal Recruiter, Recruiter or similar role
  • Background in professional services, technology, or staffing services is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong desire to develop and grow professionally
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and work with strong attention to detail
